Read the Terms & Disclosures Before Acquiring CryptoMob Digital Art

Nature of the project

CryptoMob is an educational, research and social-impact initiative.
Our NFTs are digital certificates / proofs of authorship for artworks created by verified artists.

They are not offered as financial products, pooled investment vehicles, or securities, and do not represent fractional interests in profits, royalties or future value.

What you own
When you acquire a CryptoMob NFT:

  • You own the token (a unique, non-fungible entry on a blockchain) that points to a specific artwork in the CryptoMob collection.
  • You may display the work for personal, non-commercial purposes and you may resell or transfer the NFT, subject to applicable law and marketplace rules.

Copyright & intellectual property

  • Copyright and moral rights in the artwork remain with the artist, unless a separate written agreement explicitly transfers or licenses those rights.
  • You do not automatically receive rights to reproduce, adapt, or use the artwork commercially.
  • Any additional rights (for example, using the artwork in products, branding or campaigns) must be granted in a separate written licence agreed with the artist and/or rights-holder.

Cultural integrity & IP safeguards

  • All works in the founding collection are created by verified First Nations artist and are protected under Australian intellectual property law.
  • Unauthorised copying, minting, or commercial exploitation of CryptoMob artworks may infringe those rights and can be referred to rights-holders, community representatives, and/or relevant authorities for enforcement under applicable law.

Technology, networks & sustainability

  • CryptoMob currently experiments with low-emissions, proof-of-stake Ethereum blockchain.
  • The aim is to minimise environmental impact while providing secure, tamper-resistant records of authorship and provenance.

Royalties & marketplaces

  • The project is designed so that secondary-sale royalties can be enabled via smart contracts where supported by marketplaces and standards.
  • Royalties are not guaranteed for every future sale and depend on third-party platforms and evolving ecosystem practices.
  • CryptoMob cannot control or guarantee any minimum price, liquidity, or resale demand.

Jurisdictions & responsibilities

  • CryptoMob is based in Australia. These terms are governed by Australian law.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that viewing, purchasing, holding or reselling NFTs complies with the laws, tax rules, and regulations in your jurisdiction.
  • Do not purchase NFTs if local rules treat them as restricted or prohibited products.

Security, availability & reliance

  • CryptoMob is a beta-stage, experimental project. Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
  • We cannot guarantee continuous network uptime, absence of bugs, future feature releases, or the ongoing operation of any blockchain, wallet, or marketplace.
  • You should not rely on CryptoMob NFTs for financial planning, investment returns, or as your only record of ownership.

Liability & indemnity

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, CryptoMob and its contributors exclude liability for losses arising from:
    – use of or inability to use the project or site
    – failures or bugs in blockchains, wallets, marketplaces or smart contracts
    – market volatility, price movements, or loss of access to keys or accounts
    – third-party actions, including fraud, scams, or misuse of artworks.
  • By using the project, you agree to indemnify CryptoMob and its contributors against claims arising from your unlawful use of the artworks, NFTs, or services, or your breach of these terms.

Use of proceeds
Net proceeds from primary NFT sales and related activities are intended to support:

  • artist education, digital skills and creative practice
  • creator grants and community programs
  • research and development
  • platform and marketplace development
  • governance tools for communities.

Micro-FAQ

Is this an investment?
No. CryptoMob NFTs are digital certificates for authentic art, not financial products or investment schemes. You should not purchase them with an expectation of profit or returns.

Do I get copyright in the artwork?
No. Copyright stays with the artist unless a separate written licence clearly transfers or grants specific rights.

Can I use the artwork commercially?
Only if you have a separate written agreement with the artist or rights-holder. By default, your rights are limited to personal display and resale/transfer of the NFT.

How do royalties work?
Where supported by compatible marketplaces and standards, secondary-sale royalties may be implemented via smart contracts so that a portion of resale value can flow back to artists. This is not guaranteed on all platforms or for all future sales.

How are artists and culture protected?
Artists are verified before minting, and all works remain protected under existing IP and cultural-heritage laws. Unauthorised use or copying may be pursued under those laws and community protocols.

    ABOUT

    What is CryptoMob?

CryptoMob is a First Nations-led social impact initiative pioneering the ethical use of blockchain to support artists, protect cultural expression, and build an inclusive digital creative economy.

We use NFTs (non-fungible tokens) as digital certificates of authenticity and provenance for artworks created by verified First Nations artists. Our mission is to safeguard authentic First Nations’s art, empower creators, and close the digital divide.

    CryptoMob Storyline

    Origins
CryptoMob emerged in response to a 2018 Australian Parliamentary Inquiry which found that a majority of “Indigenous art” sold in souvenir shops was inauthentic. Seeing the cultural and economic harm, community leader Les Delaforce and digital economy researcher Dr Andrzej Gwizdalski proposed blockchain-based authentication to support First Nations artists.

In 2023, at the WAWEB3 Next Gen event, CryptoMob launched the first known Australian Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander generative NFT collection – the CryptoMob founding collection by renowned Noongar and Saibai Islander artist Tyrown Waigana. The CryptoMob Founding Collection, features 8,888 unique avatars, composed of hand-crafted elements by Tyrown.  The platform is currently in beta and being tested in real-world settings.

    Sustainability
CryptoMob deploys on Ethereum’s proof-of-stake blockchain and aims for emissions-aware operations, aligning with global best practice for sustainable blockchain infrastructure.
